Bank of America to close Liberal motor branch

Bank of America has filed a notice to close its motor branch in Liberal.
According to documents made public this week by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, a notice was filed on May 2 by the $1.4 trillion bank to close the facility at 1325 N. Kansas Ave.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based bank also operates a full-service branch at 300 N. Kansas in Liberal, which is in the southwest corner of the state, according to information from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
Bank of America currently operates 51 facilities in the state.
The Eagle reported earlier that Bank of America has another 11 branches in Kansas it is selling to four different Kansas-based banks.
