Construction generates more jobs in Kansas this spring

Construction in Kansas and Wichita is up from this time last year, generating more jobs, according to the Associated General Contractors of America.

Construction in Kansas and Wichita is up from this time last year, generating more jobs, according to the Associated General Contractors of America.

Statewide there were 56,300 jobs in construction in March, up 8 percent from March 2013.

In Wichita, there were 14,700 people working in the category of jobs that includes construction, but also includes oil and gas production. That was up 700 jobs, or 5 percent, from March 2013.
