An Oklahoma bank has filed with its regulator to take over branches in Anthony and Harper that are owned by another Oklahoma bank doing business in Wichita.
BancCentral of Alva filed April 15 to open the branches under its ownership, according to information made public this week by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The OCC is the regulator of nationally chartered banks.
The Anthony and Harper bank branches are owned by Bank SNB, a Stillwater-based bank that operates two branches in Wichita.
The Anthony and Harper branches are part of a three-branch sale Bank SNB’s holding company, Southwest Bancorp, announced in January.
The third branch it is selling is in Overland Park, to Wichita-based Fidelity Bank.
According to information provided at the announcement of the sale, the Anthony and Harper branches had combined deposits of $123 million.
BancCentral had $324 million in assets as of the end of 2013 and operates offices in Alva, Woodward and Enid, Okla.
