Local and company officials will have a groundbreaking ceremony for the Tenawa Haven Processing LLC natural gas processing facility near Haven at noon Tuesday.
Tenawa Gas Processing of Houston chose to build next to its Panhandle Eastern facility along K-96 because it’s located at the junction of three major gas pipelines from Oklahoma and Texas.
The new plant will super-cool natural gas flowing through the interstate pipeline system and extract the resulting liquids. The extracted liquids are processed into different components, such as methane, butane and propane and sold to different industries.
The Tenawa Gas Processing facility will employ 12 to 15 people and consist of an office/administration facility, control room, and extraction facilities consisting of tower complexes, turbines, generators and other equipment. The facility will occupy about seven acres.
Construction is set to begin yet this spring and be completed in December. Operation will start in January.
