Job fairs set for Winfield and Ark City

Job fairs scheduled in Winfield and Arkansas City will aim to connect residents with employers who have about 300 positions to fill, according to a news release from Cowley First, an economic development group in Cowley County.
The Winfield job fair is slated for 9 a.m. to noon March 4 at Winfield High School’s auxiliary gym, 300 Viking Boulevard.
The Arkansas City job fair will be from 3 to 5:30 p.m. March 5 at the Cowley College Wright Room, 215 S. Second.
According to the release, employers expected to be at the fairs include Rubbermaid, Galaxy Technology, City of Arkansas City, Presbyterian Manor, Mosaic, Creative Community Living, LG Pike Construction, Morton Buildings, MWV Calmar, S and Y Industries, Skyline Homes, The Arnold Group, Western Industries, Cowley County Mental Health, Best Western Hotel, Creekstone Premium Beef, iT Services 2, and the Kansas Department of Corrections.
Candidates are encouraged to bring resumes and to dress appropriately. Free resume assistance and an online job search will be also provided at the fairs.
