The Small Business Administration Wichita District Office will host an information session later this month on a seven-month-long leadership training program it plans to offer.
Wichita is among the cities in which SBA will offer its Emerging Leaders program this year. SBA said the program is an intensive entrepreneurship training initiative for small business leaders. The program includes 100 hours of classroom time.
“It really is like an executive-MBA course,” said Michael Aumack, economic development specialist at the Wichita office.
The 2014 session begins in April.
There is no cost for those selected to participate.
SBA said in surveys of past participants, 62 percent have reported an increase in revenue and 72 percent reported maintaining or creating new jobs.
The Wichita District Office will hold a meeting on the program from 2 to 3 p.m. Feb. 21 at 220 W. Douglas, Suite 450. Call 316-269-6275 to RSVP.
