USDA extends deadline for conservation program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has extended the deadline for its Conservation Stewardship Program.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has extended the deadline for its Conservation Stewardship Program.

According to a news release from the department’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, land owners or producers interested in participating in the 2014 program can submit applications through Friday.

Applications for the CSP program are accepted year-round, according to the release, but are assessed only during certain “ranking periods.”
