Canadian firm buys aviation supplier APPH Wichita

Heroux-Devtek, a leading Canadian maker of aerospace products, has acquired APPH Wichita and APPH Limited, subsidiaries of BBA Aviation, for $124 million, according to a news release.

APPH, which has four plants in the United Kingdom and one in Wichita, builds landing gear and hydraulic systems, plus assemblies for original equipment manufacturer and aftermarket applications. Together the plants have about 400 employees.

APPH had sales of approximately $77 million in 2013.

APPH Wichita designs, develops, certifies, tests and repairs hydraulic systems and landing gear for the general aviation and business aircraft markets. The company manufactures power packs, accumulators, reservoirs, valves and actuators.
