New Pipeline Entrepreneurs class includes two from Wichita

Two Wichitans are among 13 entrepreneurs selected to participate in Pipeline Entrepreneurs’ year-long fellowship program.

The Kansas City, Kan.-based group said Carlos Fernandez of Page Out and James Havers-Strong of Aviation Business International are among the 2014 class that includes entrepreneurs from six cities in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

The program serves primarily entrepreneurs in technology and biosciences and provides fellows quarterly education sessions and networking with seasoned entrepreneurs and experts as well as venture capitalists.

According to Pipeline, Fernandez is co-founder and software developer for Page Out, which offers mobile apps designed for fire and other emergency services departments. Havers-Strong is founding partner and managing director of ABI, which provides aerospace maintenance, product support and distribution for the aviation industry.

The 2014 Pipeline class was announced Thursday night at the organization’s Innovator of the Year event in Kansas City, Mo.
