A Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank survey showed that manufacturing in the region is seeing a moderate rebound.
The January survey found that although production fell slightly, many firms attributed the drop to weather-related delays. Meanwhile, orders rose and optimism about the future increased, said Chad Wilkerson, bank vice president and economist.
The bank’s district includes Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Wyoming, the western third of Missouri and the northern half of New Mexico.
