The region’s biggest event that matches select science and tech entrepreneurs with venture capitalists said it has extended by one week the deadline for entrepreneurs to apply.
InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum said the deadline has been moved to Jan. 17. It was originally set for Friday.
The annual conference, in its 15th year, will be held March 26-27 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch. St. Louis and Kansas City alternate as the host city of the conference.
InvestMidwest officials said in a news release that the deadline was extended “to allow for additional startups to apply.”
The group is seeking applications from high-growth startups in the life sciences, information technology, agribusiness and bioenergy. In past years several Wichita firms have been invited to pitch their businesses at InvestMidwest, including Integrated Media Group and Nitride Solutions.
More than 300 people attended last year’s meeting, and the participants included 70 venture capital professionals who heard presentations from 41 startups in 11 states.
