Bud Snodgrass, Director of logistics, Universal Lube
Snodgrass has logistics experience with some of Wichita’s biggest companies, but even he sounds impressed with the scope of Universal’s work.
“We have seven or eight thousand active products that we move across the United States,” he said. “We have 32 facilities that I have to help manage, and we have a very large fleet with over 300 units.”
Snodgrass studied business at Wichita State University before going to work for Koch Industries. He also served as vice president of logistics for the Coleman Co. and ran North American operations for North Carolina-based Elmer’s Products.
An avid golfer, Snodgrass was most recently managing director and one of the founders of Zesta Golf, which designed and manufactured items like head covers, towels and umbrellas for golfers.
“I set up all the factories and the transportation and distribution for the products,” he said.
Snodgrass said he’s excited to be working for Universal, which is “creating an environmental movement that is defining the future of oil” with its re-refining of used oil.
In addition to golf, Snodgrass said he enjoys skiing “and the occasional pickup game of basketball.”
