Halie Smith, wealth banker, has joined Intrust Bank’s wealth team.


Monica Barton has joined Building Controls and Services as marketing assistant.


Amanda Shankle has joined the SMG-managed Intrust Bank Arena as group sales and marketing associate.


Lori Richardson has been promoted to senior paraplanner with the practice of Richard Campbell, private wealth adviser for Ameriprise Financial.

Health Care

Jared Berry has been named director of environmental services at Wesley Medical Center.

Dee Hudgens, a registered nurse and licensed specialist clinical social worker, has joined Affiliated Family Counselors.

Beth Wright, a licensed specialist clinical social worker, has joined Prairie View to provide outpatient therapy in child and family services.


Ken Peterson, an attorney with Morris Laing, has been named a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trials Lawyers for 2013.

Linda Parks, a partner with the law firm of Hite, Fanning & Honeyman, has been selected as a 2013 Top Rate lawyer in banking and Finance by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell.

Randy Troutt, a partner with the law firm of Hite, Fanning & Honeyman, has been selected as a 2013 Top Rate lawyer in Healthcare Law by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell.


Rod Henricks has been named director of sales for Bunting Magnetics in Newton. Henricks has also joined the executive leadership team at the company. Robert Bunting, Jr., will succeed Henricks as product manager-metal detection.

Tim Cramer, Landon Coley and Delbert Summers of GKN Aerospace Precision Machining in Wellington have each earned their Certificate in Supervison from the Center for Management Development at Wichita State University.


Brian White, golf course superintendent at the Wichita Country Club, has been elected president of the Kansas Turfgrass Foundation. Ron Reese, golf course superintendent at MacDonald golf course, has been elected to the board of directors of the Kansas Turfgrass Foundation.

The Medical Society of Sedgwick County has announced its leadership for 2014. Officers are: Donna Sweet, president; Paul Huser, president-elect; Abigail Heinz, secretary; and Amy Sprole, treasurer. Board members include William Collier, Denis Knight, Michael Lievens, John Lohnes, Jr., David Netherton, Jerry Niernberger, Joseph Nold, Yao-Ying Yang and Darrell Youngman.

Anne Chandler has been named director of the American Heart Association’s Wichita Heart Ball.

Paul Bowen has joined Graham Realtors as a sales associate.


Brooke Seager, a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice, has become a seminar director, training facilitators to use the Prepare/Enrich online marital/premarital assessment.
