WICHITA — Coleman Co. is temporarily locating at Brittany Center at 21st and Woodlawn for pre-Thanksgiving shopping, and there's a chance that could extend into December.
The company is having a surplus inventory sale in the 55,000-square-foot former Hobby Lobby space.
"It's pretty much every category that Coleman covers," spokesman Alex Stern says of what's on sale.
That includes coolers, grills, furniture, recreation equipment and cots.
Never miss a local story.
"Pretty much the sky's the limit on that front," Stern says.
"It's a win-win situation because it allows Brittany Center to still have a large anchor through the ... holiday season," says Scott Harper of Landmark Commercial Real Estate, who handled the deal.
Though the lease is only temporary, Harper says it's still good to have now that Hobby Lobby has moved to the Regency Lakes shopping center at 21st and Greenwich.
The sale isn't scheduled to last past Nov. 27, but Stern says the lease actually goes into December.
"There's always the possibility we might extend the event."
