Professional Engineering Consultants has made some management changes in its facilities division

Don Norton, who headed the division for years, is retiring. Dan Biby, who has been with the company about 15 years, has become the new facilities department manager.

As manager, Biby will oversee all of the firm’s mechanical, electrical and structural employees, who work on buildings.

His move is one of several among PEC’s facilities division, which Biby said, comprises about half of PEC. The other half is the civil division, run by Rich Schlitt.

Also in the facilities division:

• Dennis Downes has been named manager of the electrical division in all of PEC’s five offices. The firm’s headquarters is in Wichita, but it has offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Pittsburg, Topeka and Lawrence. Tim Lenz was named assistant manager for the electrical division.
• Greg Schunk was named manager of the mechanical division, which is over all of the firm’s mechanical engineers.
• Bryan Ward takes over as manager of the balance division, which works with contractors and owners to make sure their heating, cooling and plumbing systems are working properly.
• Barry George has become senior project manager with responsibility for training mechanical engineering staff. He will also help Schunk run the mechanical services in the offices outside of Wichita.
