There were 878 Kansans laid off in March in 11 mass layoffs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

There were 878 Kansans laid off in March in 11 mass layoffs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

That’s down from 1,588 people in 11 mass layoffs in March 2012.

A mass layoffs involves 50 or more people claiming unemployment insurance over a five week period.
