Local inventors and entrepreneurs are invited to a conference in Wichita April 19-20.
The event will be hosted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and Wichita State University’s Center for Innovation and Enterprise Engagement.
The Kansas Regional Independent Inventors Conference will be at the National Aviation Training Center, 4004 N. Webb Road.
Federal officials, successful inventors and seasoned entrepreneurs will talk about applying for patents and trademarks, getting assistance through USPTO programs and how to safeguard intellectual property.

A pre-conference workshop covering the basics of the patent process will be offered from 5:30 to 7:30 pm April 18.
