The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce is looking for new members.
A membership blitz, in which volunteers will be calling potential members, starts Tuesday and will run for three days, said Gary Plummer, Chamber president and CEO.
Plummer said the goal is to increase membership by about 10 percent. Currently, the Chamber has about 1,550 members, he said.
The drive involves about 250 volunteers, who have been recruited by 12 membership event chairmen.
The chairmen are: Martha Linsner, TCK; Rod Young, PEC; Sean Weaver, Allen, Gibbs & Houlik; John Clevenger, Commerce Bank; Steve Stewart, Hyatt; Claudio Ferraro, Via Christi; Dawn Truman, Weigand; Dave Franson, Wichita Aero Club; Drayton Alldritt, Equity Bank; Harvey Sorensen, Foulston Siefkin; Rob Burton, Clear Channel; and Dawson Grimsley, Davis-Moore.
Businesses that would like to join the Chamber should call Kresta Dundas at 316-268-1117, or go to www.wichitachamber.org and click on “join now.”
