Michael Rowe Jr. and Cynthia Gorges have been named partners in the firm of Edward M. Plopa & Associates, CPAs.

Audrey Richards and Blake Krier have joined the assurance department of Allen, Gibbs & Houlik as assurance interns.


Bryan Boroughs, an agronomist with Servi-Tech, has been awarded the 2012 Consultant of the Year Award from the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants.


Dana Williamson has joined Howard + Helmer Architecture as an intern architect.


Duane Harms has been promoted to senior vice president at Rose Hill Bank. Other promotions include: Alison Dowell, assistant vice president and senior credit analyst; Tri Tran, assistant vice president and credit administration officer; and Stacy Hubbard, commercial relationship specialist.

Sasha Kuchinski has joined Intrust Bank as corporate communications representative.

Meritrust Credit Union has announced the following new hires: Canyon May and Shaelyn Clark, tellers; and Matt Cucher, IT associate.

Theo Brooks has joined Legacy Bank as a teller.

Jennifur Gorman, vice president-branch manager of the Bradley Fair branch of Capitol Federal Savings, has been chosen to serve in the same position at the Kenmar location. Gorman will continue to manage the Bradley Fair office.

Business Services

David Bossemeyer has been promoted to vice president of business development with the Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition. Tammy Nolan has been promoted to marketing director, and Debra Teufel has been promoted to vice president of business development.


Brad Anderson, a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual, has been named a Silver Award Winner for 2012.

Calvin Finn, a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual, has qualified for the company’s Emerald Star Club Award.

Tim Kaiser, a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual, has qualified for the company’s Sapphire Star Club Award.

Health Care

Optometrist Trevor Askew has joined Grene Laser and Grene Vision Group.

Suni Lynn has been named office manager for the medical practice of Edward Lind.

Physician Justin Strickland of Mid-America Orthopedics has received board certification in sports medicine.

Kaitlin Ditche, a fourth-year medical student at the KU School of Medicine-Wichita, is receiving clinical training at Integrity Medicine in Newton.

Edgar Austria, a fourth-year medical student at the KU School of Medicine-Wichita, is receiving clinical training at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington.

Michael Cowan has been named human resources director at the KU School of Medicine-Wichita.


Joseph, Hollander & Craft has elected three new members: M. Kristine Savage of the Topeka office; and Michelle Moe Witte and Edward Robinson of the Wichita office. Robinson was also named chairman of the firm’s civil litigation department.


Child Start’s board of directors has added Dene Nelson, executive director of Discovery Place Early Childhood Program, and Steven Regier, director at Mayer Hoffman McCann PC.
