Goodwill Industries of Kansas announced Monday that Dondlinger & Sons Construction has been selected as the general contractor for the organization’s mission services building at 3351 N. Webb.
Schaefer Johnson Cox and Frey Architects will provide architectural services on the project, estimated in value at $3.25 million, according to a news release from the agency.
The remodeling project should be finished by summer in the former Century Manufacturing building, which Goodwill Industries purchased from Jim and Sharon Laubach last July.
Goodwill officials said they had outgrown the building at 37th and Oliver.
The new 115,000-square-foot center will house Goodwill’s employment programs for people with disabilities, consolidate its education programs and provide office space for administration, according to the release.
The retail store, donation center and warehouse will remain at 37th and Oliver.
