Kohl’s department store donated $81,543 to the Via Christi Foundation on Saturday, Via Christi announced in a news release.

The donation will go toward the facilitation of the 2013 Kohl’s Parents Academy programs, which are offered by Via Christi.

The programs are free for participants and include classes like “Happiest Baby on the Block” for new parents, “Boot Camp for New Dads,” and “Family Focus on Teens,” among others.

Kohl’s has donated $466,647 to the foundation for the program over the last six years.

The Greater Wichita YMCA is also a new partner in the program, Via Christi announced. Starting in January, the classes will be held in the new downtown YMCA and the Farha Center at the South YMCA.
