Matt Bruckner has joined the manufacturing group at Kennedy and Coe as an associate. Amanda Huffman and Michele Reynolds have joined the CPA firm as associates.

Matt Brantner has been promoted from staff accountant to senior accountant in the audit department of BKD.

Adam Manlove has been promoted to supervising associate and Ellen Decker has been promoted to senior associate at Allen, Gibbs & Houlik.


Frank Carson IV, director of Carson Bank and senior vice president and commercial lender, has been selected to serve a three-year term on the Banker Advisory Board for the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Legacy Bank has opened a branch in Sedgwick and announced the following new hires: Devin Dodson, ag/commercial lender; Brenda DeHaven, branch manager; Debbie Harrison, retail CSR; Amy Ward, teller/CSR; and Sue Bectchel, teller. Other new hires at Legacy Bank include Marcye Harris, deposit operations, and Lisa Shaw, loan processor.


Joan Siefkes Moore has been named director of development and alumni relations at Wichita Collegiate School.


Gene Fisher, Doug Leiker, Blake Martin, and Jared Peters, financial representatives at Northwestern Mutual RPS Financial Group, have each achieved the Best Year Ever award during the company’s 2011-2012 awards year.

Geoff Stalker, a financial representative at Northwestern Mutual RPS Financial Group, has qualified for membership in the Million Dollar Roundtable.

Christi McNelly has joined Northwestern Mutual RPS Financial Group as an assistant to Blake Martin.

Katie Fisher of Pratt has joined Child and Family Optometry as an optometry resident through Southern College of Optometry’s private practice residency program.


Edward Hund has been recognized by Best Lawyers for 2013.

John Robb of Somers, Robb & Robb has been recognized by Best Lawyers for 2013.

Brad Prochaska of Prochaska, Giroux & Howell has been recognized by Best Lawyers for 2013. Prochaska has also been elected as the 2012 co-chairman of the Birth Trauma Litigation Group of the American Association For Justice.

Rachael Pirner of Triplett, Woolf & Garretson, has been appointed to the membership and program committees by the president of the National Conference of Bar Presidents, following her tenure as president of the Kansas Bar Association.

Joslyn Kusiak has joined the law firm of Klenda Austerman as an associate attorney.


Summer Pommier has been named plant manager of the CST Storage manufacturing facility in Parsons.


Buz Carpenter, a retired United States Air Force Colonel and former command pilot and instructor pilot for the SR-71 Blackbird, has joined the foundation board of the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson.

Janet Stephen has joined Golden Realtors as a sales associate.

Tom Fagan has joined the Derby office of J.P. Weigand & Sons as a residential real estate sales associate.

Brent Madison has joined the commercial division of J.P. Weigand & Sons as a commercial sales/leasing associate.


Georgia Brooks has joined Lucinda’s Old Town as a sales associate.
