Bank of Oklahoma Mortgage in Wichita has expanded beyond the city by adding a Salina-based mortgage office.
Kitty Pestinger joined the mortgage group this month, Matt Wendling, BOK Mortgage’s Wichita branch manager, said on Thursday.
Pestinger has more than 20 years experience in banking and mortgage lending, in the Pacific Northwest as well as in Salina, he said.
The Salina office is temporarily located at 128 N. Santa Fe Road but will likely move to a permanent location in the next few weeks, Wendling said.
The phone number at the Salina office is 785-342-1892.
He said Pestinger has experience in Veterans Affairs lending and will put that to use building her book of business in and around Salina.
“We have been looking to branch out,” he said.
Wendling learned of Pestinger through a referral by a real estate agent. “We just started visiting with her and so that’s how it kind of started,” he said.
Wendling said his goal is to add additional mortgage officers in the Salina office. He said because of proximity, the Salina office will operate under the Bank of Kansas City name, one of seven banking divisions of Bank of Oklahoma. But, he said, Pestinger reports to him.
Bank of Oklahoma Mortgage opened its Wichita office in January 2011 at 8110 E. 32nd St. Since then, it’s added two others: at 10100 Maple in Re/Max Realty Professionals’ office; and at 8414 W. 13th St., in Realty World Alliance’s west-side office.
Including Pestinger, the Wichita office employs nine loan officers and three assistants.
