Kansas’ largest financial institution has named a new executive to lead its lending operations in the Wichita area and other parts of the state.
Capitol Federal Savings on Thursday said Kevin Brittain has been hired for its most senior lending post in the bank’s Southern Region.
Brittain is a 2004 graduate of Wichita State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
He worked as a part-time teller for Bank of the West during college, and after graduation went to work for the bank managing one of its branches in Kansas City.
Never miss a local story.
He moved back to Wichita a few years later to work for Equity Bank, where he was vice president of mortgage lending.
Brittain, 30, said he is responsible for Capitol Federal’s mortgage lending operations locally as well as in Emporia and Salina.
He said between 25 and 30 people work under him in those markets.
Capitol Federal officials said Brittain has extensive knowledge and experience in mortgage lending.
“Kevin is a good fit, not only for Capitol Federal but for the entire community,” said Rick Jackson, Capitol Federal’s chief lending officer, in a news release.
Brittain replaces Dan Jones, who joined Intrust Bank earlier this year.
