Officers with the Kansas Department of Revenue and Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office seized the assets of Integrity First Automotive Co., 1015 E. Harry, which owes $10,558 in state sales taxes and individual income taxes, according to a state release.
Officers seized bank accounts, on-site cash, business inventory and personal property belonging to owner Brandon Buckner. The auto repair shop was sealed, and assets will be sold at public auction.
The revenue department’s standard practice is to encourage delinquent taxpayers to enter into a repayment agreement. It seizes assets after failing to collect using other methods, including multiple letters, telephone calls, letters of legal action, tax liens filed in court, previous bank levies and on-site till taps.
