October was quite a month for Katie Grover.
First, she started her new job with Fidelity Bank, then her beloved St. Louis Cardinals came out of nowhere to win the World Series.
"Isn't that crazy?" she said.
Grover, 34, grew up in Lindsborg and earned a degree from Bethany College. She worked in sales and marketing for Hallmark in Kansas City, Mo., for four years, then moved to Wichita to become director of marketing for Heartspring, which serves children with special needs.

"I absolutely loved my time with a nonprofit, the work being done there," Grover said.
But Grover said working for Fidelity was an opportunity to grow professionally and personally that she couldn't pass up.
"I'll be overseeing all of our marketing efforts for products and promotions," she said. "We've got a lot of exciting things coming up. You're going to want to keep your eyes on Fidelity."
Grover and her husband, Travis, have a 21-month-old daughter, Lillian. Grover loves spending time with them, cooking and "celebrating the world champion St. Louis Cardinals."
