The seven years Campbell spent with Kansas City advertising agencies prepared him for his current job in two ways.
For one, he gained experience in food and retail by working for an agency that represented Walmart. For another, it made him appreciate what a city like Wichita has to offer.
"I'm certainly one that's enjoying my time in Wichita," Campbell said. "I really like the market. It's a great place to live."
Campbell, 34, grew up in southwest Missouri and graduated from Missouri State with a marketing degree.
He joined SHS as a senior brand manager in 2006, working mainly with Cargill. "I'll continue to work with Cargill," he said. "Food is certainly an area I've worked in a lot and have a passion for."
As vice president, he'll also be more involved with other clients, the agency's new business efforts and mentoring other employees.
Campbell and his wife, April, have two children. Outside the office he enjoys golf and supporting missionary efforts in Africa.
