Jason Gregory has been named executive vice president of the Wichita Downtown Development Corp.
His first day will be March 14.
Jeff Fluhr, president of the WDDC, said Gregory will work hand in hand with him on downtown business prospects.
Gregory also will be involved in the creation and operation of a one-stop shop at the WDDC headquarters, 507 E. Douglas, for prospective downtown developers.
"He'll be able to work with all our stakeholders from business and developers to the public sector to help us achieve the vision we have set as a community," Fluhr said.
Gregory, a Cheney native, has a diverse business background, including landscape architecture, urban design, project management and construction.
His role will include launching and guiding various initiatives as Project Downtown, the downtown Wichita redevelopment master plan, is implemented.
Gregory comes to the WDDC from Walz Harman Huffman Construction, where he has worked as a project manager and estimator for commercial projects.
As a graduate landscape architect, he worked with Bowman Bowman Novick, a landscape architect firm in Kansas City, where he was involved in several downtown redevelopment projects.
