Wichita City Council will consider extending tax exemptions for three operations at its meeting on Tuesday.
Big Dog Motorcycles committed in 2003 to add at least 40 jobs to its work force. It did, but has since laid off 299. City staff has recommended the extension because the company met all of the city's performance requirements.
Call center InfoNXX promised in 2005 to create 944 jobs. It never hit that mark and now its work force is 185. Staff recommended a one-year extension because it met most of city's requirements.
CAP Carpet, a carpet warehouse and headquarters, agreed to create 37 jobs. It created 19. Staff recommended denial because it didn't meet most of the requirements.
