A Creighton University survey of rural Kansas bankers show conditions improving for rural economies in the state.
The Rural Mainstreet Index for Kansas rose above growth neutral 50.0 in December.
The index increased to 59.3 from 57.4 in November and 51 in October.
The farmland price index increased to 78.8 from 70.2 in November.
The agricultural equipment sales index rose to 79.7 from 70.8 in November.
And the rate of job gains in the past 12 months was 2.1 percent.
