Bill Warren's first venture into IMAX movies opens Friday night at the 21st and Tyler theater with the first showing of the feature film "Tron: Legacy."
Grand opening events begin tonight with a VIP night at the 601-seat theater. Media tours will begin Friday morning before the first unveiling of the screen Friday night to the public.
The $7.2 million theater is the centerpiece of Warren's $9 million renovation at the complex, which includes renovations to all of the other auditoriums in the 14-year-old theater. Those auditoriums received new carpet, seats, screens and digital projection equipment.
IMAX movies will cost $1 extra for kids and $2 extra for adults, Warren announced in November. Expansion plans are under way at the Moore, Okla., Warren with the possibility of the company's second IMAX theater there.
