A wide-range of topics will be discussed Wednesday and Thursday at the 2010 Regional Outlook Conference on the Future of Agri-Business, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.
A reception starts at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by a keynote address from Michael Doane, a Monsanto vice president.
Thursday's session will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Presentations will be made on renewable energy, nutrition and the global food supply chain and technology.
Joseph Glauber, the chief economist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, will address the global outlook at noon on Thursday.
Some of the other speakers will be provided by Boeing, Kansas World Trade Center, Black and Veatch, ICM, U.S. Meat Federation, Kansas State University, Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City, Nauma, Osborne Industries and Kansas Polymer Research Center.
The Agri-Business Council of Wichita and the Kansas World Trade Center are co-organizers of the event.
