The 11th annual Kansas Energy Conference will be Oct. 12 and 13 at Century II.
The conference, hosted by the Kansas Corporation Commission and the Kansas Department of Commerce, will focus on alternative energy. It will feature presentations on the North American and Kansas wind industries, an update from industry experts about the modern marketplace and an overview of the advancement of biofuel production.
The conference will also include general and breakout sessions on renewable energy, transmission of power, energy efficiency, work force training and economic development.
Last year's conference was attended by more than 650 people. The conference is open to the public and costs $100.
