Site consultants rank Kansas as one of the top states in the nation for work force development programs — although not one of the top 10 overall for doing business.
Kansas ranksNo. 3 in work force development programs, according to Area Development magazine.
The overall rankings were based on eight categories, including work force programs, and Kansas didn't score in the top 10. Those categories are: business cost, business friendly, corporate tax environment, overall labor climate, fast-track permitting, rail and highway accessibility and shovel-ready sites.
