As of Sept. 30, about 2,850 homes owned by low-income Kansans had been weatherized using Recovery Act funding, plus nearly 900 additional homes with annual program funding. As a result, Kansas will have access to an additional $28.2 million in Recovery Act weatherization funding.
In August, the government announced that states have already weatherized more than 200,000 low-income homes, now at 25,000 homes per month.
