The annual harvest will begin soon at Grace Hill Winery, the fourth official vintage of the Whitewater winery.
A small volunteer army of grape pickers, including family, friends and previous tasting room visitors, will begin picking grapes each Saturday. Throughout August and September an estimated 10 to 12 tons of grapes will be hand-harvested into bins and taken to the winery to be crushed, de-stemmed and then pressed, after which they will be put into stainless steel tanks to ferment.
It will be the fourth official vintage of the Whitewater winery. Grace Hill will be harvesting grapes every Saturday through Sept. 25. For information about harvest or in coming out to help with harvest e-mail email@example.com.
