According to the national real estate data firm CoreLogic, 1.5 percent of all Wichita area mortgages are in foreclosure as of May. That's up from 1 percent a year ago.
Wichita's foreclosure rate remains less than half of the national rate, which also continues to rise.
The percentage of mortgages that are delinquent is considerably higher, according to CoreLogic.
As of May, 4.3 percent of Wichita area mortgage loans were 90 days or more late compared to 3.3 percent for the same period last year.
