Existing home sales fell 9.7 percent between May and June, according to the South Central Kansas MLS.
Existing homes sales in June totaled 769, down from 852 in May. The median sales price of existing homes in June was down 10.2 percent from June 2009.
Existing home inventory in June was up 5.9 percent to 4,120 homes from 3,889 in May, and 16.2 percent higher than a year ago.
New home sales increased in June to 127 units, which represents a 58.8 percent increase over May. The June median sale price of new homes decreased to $160,920 from $172,456 in May.
New home inventory increased this month with 512 homes in inventory compared to 464 new homes on the market last month. The new home inventory is 22.5 percent lower than it was a year ago at this time when there were 661 new homes on the market.
