WICHITA — The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce will recognize four companies, two individuals and a nonprofit at its 2010 Honors Night in April.
Shirley and Don Beggs, Wichita State president, will be awarded with the Uncommon Citizen, which recognizes people for their role in business as well as participation in cultural, civic, social and philanthropic activities
Star Lumber & Supply will be recognized with the Spirit of Wichita Award, while Rusty Eck Ford, Sasnak Management and The Salvation Army will receive the Over the Years award, which recognizes an organization's strength in employment, leadership, innovation and community involvement.
And Poet Ethanol Products will receive the Keeper of the Plains award. The award recognizes an architectural project completed by a firm, organization or individual that has contributed to the beauty of the community.

Honors Night will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. on April 27 at the Beech Activity Center, 9710 E. Central.
