CINCINNATI — Business services outsourcing provider Convergys Corp. has changed its leadership.
The company, which is based in Cincinnati and has a call center in Wichita, said today that former Alltel Corp. executive Jeff Fox will take over as president and CEO. David Dougherty, who led Convergys less than three years, will stay on as a consultant.
The company says the 47-year-old Fox has agreed to head Convergys at least one year. The former chief operating officer of wireless provider Alltel, which is now part of Verizon Wireless, became a Convergys board member one year ago.
Convergys, which provides call-center, billing and other customer relations services, has seen its growth falter during the recession.
Its 2009 profit fell almost 17 percent to $77.3 million.
