WICHITA _ High school seniors from Fort Scott and New Mexico are the recipients of the 2010 Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship at Wichita State.
Alex Pemberton, a senior at Fort Scott High School, and Matthew Helmick, a senior at Rio Rancho High School in Rio Rancho, N.M. are the winners, Barton School Dean Doug Hensler announced Thursday morning.
The scholarship, one of the most prestigious at WSU, awards each recipient $20,000 over four years.
To be eligible, a student must have a minimum ACT score of 24, have a GPA of 3.5 or better and be a declared entrepreneurship major.
The scholarships are named for Fran Jabara, former dean of the College of Business Administration at WSU and a founder of the Center for Entrepreneurship.
