The Small Business Administration's top Wichita official will outline SBA programs provided through the federal stimulus at a breakfast Thursday.
Wayne Bell, director of the SBA's Wichita District, will give an overview of SBA programs through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act at the Kansas Family Business Forum's Executive Breakfast.
The breakfast will be from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.
"The act has had a significant impact on small businesses, providing tax incentives and financing opportunities that help them create jobs," Bell said in a news release. "As each of the portions of the act was implemented by the SBA, more help from lenders participating with the SBA became available."
Bell said the act provides the SBA with specific tools to make it easier and less expensive for small businesses to get loans. It provides lenders with new incentives to make more small business loans and to the secondary market to unfreeze it and boost liquidity in U.S. credit markets.
Cost to attend the presentation is $25 at the door. Breakfast is available only to members of the Kansas Family Business Forum.
