Nominations are being sought for the Employer Support Freedom Award, given each year by the U.S. Department of Defense.
The department's Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve agency honors 15 employers nationwide each year. The award is the highest honor the government gives to organizations that go above and beyond the law in their support of the Guard and Reserve.
Guard and Reserve members and their families are eligible to nominate employers. So far, 24 Kansas nominations have been received. The deadline is Jan. 18. The nomination information is available at www.FreedomAward.mil.
