Exports of civilian aircraft are up for the month and through the first three quarters of the year, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
U.S. aircraft companies sold $2.8 billion worth of aircraft overseas in September, compared to $1.9 billion in August.
For the first nine months, aircraft exports were up a tiny 0.3 percent, $26.0 billion vs. $25.9 billion, over last year.
But agricultural exports through the first nine months remain far below last year's levels. Wheat was down 55.4 percent, corn down 35.8 percent, soybeans down 13.1 percent, and meat down 10.9 percent.
