Two arrested after convenience store robbery

WICHITA — Two people were arrested in south Wichita early Sunday morning after a convenience store was robbed, police said.

The Sunshine convenience store at 851 S. Meridian was robbed at 1:35 a.m. Sunday by a man who left in a red Chevy S10 pickup, a clerk told police. Officers spotted the pickup a short time later in the 800 block of South Oliver.

A 33-year-old man and 46-year-old woman in the pickup were arrested after questioning. A cash drawer from a register was recovered in the vehicle, police said.
