Now this is more like a Kansas August.
Temperatures will climb to the mid-90s in the Wichita area on primary election day, forecasters say, with south-southwest winds pushing into the teens and gusting to nearly 20 miles an hour.
Lows tonight will settle in the low 70s, with partly cloudy skies and southerly winds remaining consistent with the daytime breezes.
Wednesday will see chances for showers and thunderstorms arrive, forecasters say, with temperatures climbing into the low 90s. South winds in the teens will gust into the low 20s.
Chances for rain increase Wednesday night, with lows falling back into the low 70s. Slight chances for rain will stretch through the rest of the work week as well, forecasters say.
