Police were called to the Sonic Drive-In at 8600 W. Maple, near Tyler Road, on Sunday morning after two men robbed the business and put two employees in freezer.
Police were called at 7:10 a.m. Sunday.
The two men, covered up with clothing except for their eyes, came into the business, pointed a silver handgun at one of the employees and asked her to open the safe, said Wichita police Sgt. Ed Brower.
They took cash, put the 44-year-old woman and a 22-year-old employee in the freezer, and left in an unknown direction. The employees were getting ready to open for the day.
