Mayor Carl Brewer’s upcoming trade mission to China that was originally scheduled for August has been postponed to November, according to a news release.

Wichita officials are specifically trying to form relationships with the Chinese in the area of aviation.

City officials say the delay will allow additional businesses who want to participate in the trip to go. Originally, the trip covered six cities over 12 days in August.

Now, officials will visit five cities over nine days from November 8 to 16, starting at the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai.
