Unseasonably cool weather for July will continue on the last day of the month in the Wichita area, forecasters say.
Highs will settle in the low 80s under mostly sunny skies, with light and variable winds. Overnight readings will drop to the low 60s under partly cloudy skies, with Friday seeing a modest warmup and the return of gusty south winds.
Highs are likely to reach the upper 80s with plenty of sunshine, forecasters say, with gusts topping 20 miles an hour at times. Temperatures will linger in the upper 80s through a sunny weekend.
