The Count Your Kid In program is holding free screenings to identify children with potential learning problems on Aug. 29, at Sedgwick High School, 400 W. Fourth St.

Children from birth to age 5 who live in the Burrton, Sedgwick, Valley Center, Maize, Renwick, Goddard, Cheney, Conway Springs or Clearwater school districts are welcome to attend. The clinic will assess hearing, vision, cognitive skills, and gross and fine motor skills.

The goal is to help identify children who may require special educational services and to provide parents with activities that they can do to benefit their child’s development.

Parents should call 316-794-8641 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
